The Easiest Way To Receive God's Blessings
. Oh Lord bless me, is a very good prayer, but let me ask myself, WHY SHOULD GOD BLESS ME? because blessing is a reward for obedience ( a good thing done - Psa.18.20, the Psalmist was bold to say " The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness.... (and that was even in the new testament) while a curse ( denial of blessing), punishment (or suffering that is not because of sin) is a reward for disobedience ( a bad thing done Jer.5 25) .
If I may ask, how many believers and ministers today can declare like the Psalmist as many Christians and ministers are deceived by the devil to believe that they can not be really holy and righteous here on earth and that no man is perfect even when God declared that Job, Noah and Daniel was righteous and perfect or blameless? If perfect life was not possible here on earth, why did Jesus command us to be perfect in Matthew 5.48 , is he now laying a burden on us ?
Blessing is a reward for obedience ( holy and righteous living) while curse is a reward for disobedience and carnal and selfish life ( Isa.1.19-20, Job 36.11-12) SO IT IS MY DUTY AND YOURS TO GIVE GOD A REASON TO BLESS ME AND YOU THROUGH COMPLETE OBEDIENCE -2Cor 10.6. God has no right and is not under obligation to bless us ( answer our prayers) if we are not obeying his words or his instructions. OBEYING GOD IN ONE AREA AND FAILING OR DISOBEYING IN ANOTHER AREA IS NOT ENOUGH because of James 2.10-11.
Many prayers today are not answered because the people praying are not obeying the word of God, they are not living holy and righteous and the devil has many things to accuse and condemn them before God thereby canceling their prayers. Somebody may ignorantly argue this thing I am saying but that's is the reason why most of our prayers are not answered because Satan always stand to accuse us before God - Rev 12.10, and any area we consciously disobey God and his word Satan then picks it up and present to God to let God know why he should not answer us.
This is the reason why that the more one grows in obedience (holy and righteous living), the more one can receive answer to prayers and also grow in God,s favor. WHETHER WE BELIEVE IF OR NOT, MANY OF US THAT CLAIM TO BE CHRISTIANS AND MINISTERS ( YET NOT ALL) SUFFER MANY THINGS NOW ON EARTH NOT BECAUSE OF OUR RIGHTEOUS AND HOLY LIVING BUT BECAUSE OF TAKING GOD FOR GRANTED AND NOT TAKING THE MATTER OF COMPLETE OBEDIENCE SERIOUS TO PURSUE AFTER IT.
We must know this, God,s promises are conditional. If we don't obey God concerning a particular promise and we are claiming it, we are wasting our time. So we must stop claiming a promise we have not fulfilled ( obeyed) the condition ( requirements). May God grant you understanding.
