The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) plays a pivotal role in the Nigerian education system. Step 1: Create a JAMB Profile

Ensure you keep the profile code safe, as you will need it throughout the registration process.

Step 2: Purchase JAMB e-PIN

After creating your profile, the next step is to purchase your JAMB e-PIN. You can obtain this from any accredited bank, Nigeria Postal Service (NIPOST), or online payment platforms such as Remita. The e-PIN is necessary for completion.

Step 3: Visit an Accredited CBT Center

JAMB registration can only be completed at an accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) center. After obtaining your e-PIN, take it to a CBT center for proper registration. During this process, the center will capture your biometric data (fingerprints and photograph) and other personal information, such as your name, date of birth, and academic details.

Step 4: Provide Necessary Documents

You will need to provide some important documents during registration, including your O’level results (WAEC/NECO). If you haven’t received your results yet, you can register with the status “Awaiting Result,” but ensure to upload your results to the JAMB portal once available. During registration, you will be required to select your preferred institutions and courses. You can choose one university, one polytechnic, and one college of education as options. Additionally, ensure the courses you pick align with your strengths and academic background.

Step 6: Collect Registration Slip and Study Materials

Once registration is complete, you will receive a registration slip containing your details and examination information. This slip is important and should be kept safe. JAMB also provides study materials like the JAMB syllabus and the novel for the Use of English exam. These materials will help you prepare effectively for the UTME.

• National Identification Number (NIN): A valid NIN is mandatory for registration.

• Valid Email and Phone Number: Ensure the email and phone number are functional throughout the registration process.
