How To Share Data On Airtel Using The Airtel Data Gifting Service
Airtel Nigeria offers a convenient way to share your data with family and friends using its Data Gifting and Data Me2U services. These services ensure that you stay connected with your loved ones, even when they run out of data. Here’s how to use these features:
1. Airtel Data Gifting
This feature allows you to buy a data bundle for someone directly from your account. Follow these steps:
- Dial *312# on your Airtel line.
- Select 6 (Gifting & Sharing) from the menu.
- Choose 2 (Data Gifting).
- Pick the data plan you wish to gift and confirm.
- Enter the recipient's Airtel number.
- Input your SmartShare PIN to complete the transaction.
2. Airtel Data Me2U
This service enables you to transfer part of your existing data bundle to another Airtel number. To do this:
- Dial *312# on your Airtel SIM.
- Select 6 (Gifting & Sharing).
- Choose 4 (Data Me2U).
- Select 2 (Send Me2U from existing allowance).
- Enter the recipient's Airtel number and the data amount.
- Provide your PIN to finalize the process.
Important Notes
The default PIN for data sharing is 1234. Change it for security by dialing *312#, selecting PIN management, and updating it to a custom PIN.
You can share data with up to two recipients daily, but the maximum transferable data volume may vary based on your current balance.
