Davido's approach to selecting tracks for the album was meticulous. He initially shortlisted 28 songs, which he played repeatedly during his gym sessions to determine which tracks resonated the most. This process of constant iteration and fine-tuning eventually led to the final 17 tracks that made the album. His commitment to excellence was driven by a strong desire to not just meet but exceed the expectations of his fans, especially after a long break from music.

His protégé, Logos Olori, recently revealed that Davido has penned songs for international artists, including a hit for Chris Brown.
