Breaking: Boko Haram Terrorist Raid Bornu Police Station, Kill Officers And Loots Armory.

In a brazen attack, Boko Haram terrorists stormed the Jakana Police station in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State, leaving a trail of destruction and death. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 1:00 am, when the terrorists ambushed security operatives and engaged them in a fierce gun battle that lasted for two hours.

 

Casualties and Destruction

The attack resulted in the loss of two lives: a policeman and a woman. The terrorists also made away with arms and ammunition from the police station. In addition, they set ablaze two patrol vehicles and a motorcycle, one of which belonged to the police and the other to the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF).

 

Confirmation and Response

The Chairman of Konduga Local Government, Hon Abbas Ali Abari, confirmed the incident and promised to release more details soon. However, the Borno State Command Police Public Relations Officer, Nahun Kenneth, has yet to state the attack.

 

Conviction of Boko Haram Members and Financial Backers

In a separate development, the Federal Ministry of Justice announced the conviction of 125 Boko Haram members and their financial supporters following a mass trial in Kainji, Niger State. The convictions were for charges related to terrorism, financing terrorism, and crimes associated with the International Criminal Court (ICC). The trials were conducted under the Giwa Project Kanji Phase Five, led by Justice Binta Nyako.
