This is my dad. I never met my mom—she left shortly after giving birth to me. I grew up with just him, and honestly, I never felt the absence of a parent. My daddy, a retired primary school teacher, wore both the father and mother hat with so much grace.

We don’t have much. Most times, there’s no extra money for things like going to the salon or buying fancy clothes. But my daddy? He’ll use his last card to make sure I look good and feel special. He treats me like royalty, even when all he can afford is love, a comb, and coconut oil.

For the past 16 years, he has been my everything—my support system, my biggest cheerleader, and the reason I smile. I don’t need a boyfriend to feel loved or beautiful. My only goal is to stay focused on my studies and make him proud.

Daddy, even if your pockets aren’t full, your love has made my life rich beyond measure. You’ve made my world warmer, brighter, and full of joy. I pray that God blesses me abundantly, so one day, I can take care of you the way you’ve taken care of me.

This is more than just a post—it’s a thank you to the man who gave me everything, even when he had nothing.

    I love you, Daddy.
