22 hrs ago*A short reminder for today, 11th Dhul Qa‘dah, 1446*
Alhamdulillāh,
This is one of the four sacred months mentioned by Allah in the Qur'an:
"Verily, the number of months with Allah is twelve months (in a year)... of them four are sacred."
(Surah At-Tawbah: 36)
Dhul Qa‘dah is a month of peace, reflection, and preparation for Hajj. It is a time when warfare and conflict were traditionally prohibited, teaching us the value of reconciliation and inner peace. Let us use this opportunity to strengthen our relationship with Allah, purify our hearts, and seek forgiveness.
Dear brothers and sisters, as we approach the sacred season of Hajj, even if we are not among the pilgrims, we should increase in good deeds, avoid sin, maintain ties of kinship, and make du‘a earnestly.
O Allah, Lord of the heavens and the earth, we ask You on this blessed day of Jum‘ah and in this sacred month of Dhul Qa‘dah:
Forgive our sins, both public and hidden.
Guide our hearts and keep them firm on Your path.
Grant us peace in our homes, our communities, and the ummah at large.
Accept the Hajj of those intending it and grant us the opportunity to visit Your House.
Heal the sick among us, relieve the distressed, and bless us with beneficial knowledge, halal sustenance, and righteous deeds.
Make the remaining days of our lives better than those that have passed.
Amin.
